Hello!

I love to create. With a background in prop making for film and T.V I have had the opportunity to try out some really exciting techniques. I believe that art, and life, while we're at it, is all about staying curious. My practice is about never stopping being in awe of the world around me, learning and exploring.

The creative process has always been a way to juxtapose ideas together and see what happens. I chose my university degree because it gave me the tools and skills to achieve extreme precision and realism which I in turn enjoyed embellishing. Sir Terry Pratchett (as pictured in photo) was my first proper dive into using prop making techniques to create a piece of art and I have never looked back.

After working for other people's visions I left the film industry to concentrate on my own. I have since been developing my approach to my materials and playing with breaking down the distance between painting and sculpture. I use my oil painting work to explore texture as much as I do in my sculptures. Through it all I am driven by juxtaposing realism with the unexpected.

I enjoy sharing what I know so far. Contact me if you'd like some creative input in a project, for commissions or collaborations. Or, if you are curious about all this painting and sculpting business look no further:
